Largest Residential Real Estate Transaction Ever Recorded in Charleston, SC

181 Ballybunion Drive, a 9,900 square foot mega mansion on Kiawah Island’s oceanfront and designed by New York architect Robert AM Stern, fetched an impressive price of 14 million dollars, the largest residential sale ever recorded in Charleston County. 21 King Street Reduced

21 King Patrick O'Donnell HouseOnce the most expensive downtown Charleston property, 21 King has now been reduced to 6.85 million from it’s original asking price of 7,895,000. The owner Jim Palotta, a Boston hedgefund manager and part owner of the Boston Celtics bought the the property known as the Patrick O’Donnell house in 2007 for 7.2 million after engaging in a bidding war with another buyer. Caroline Ragsdale represented the buyer who submitted the competing bid. This fabulous property is in mint condition and the current owners never occupied the the home. Historic Charleston Foundation’s Festival of Houses and Gardens
